Came home yesterday to find that my controller is broke. Haven't had it 2 long, only 2 months. Went to play cod4. When the game started the gun went straight up in the air like if i was pressing the right analog up but i wasn't. This happens online and off. Is it dust trapped in it or how do i fix it?? The stick still moves but doesn't do anything!!!????

Shake it and see if anything's loose inside.
If there is, then open it up and see what's loose/broken and where it came from.
If there isn't, then open it up and have a look inside. Compare broken stick to other stick and try make them the same.

This is all presuming there isn't some sort of warranty you might void. Actually there probably is. Sale of goods act: fit for purpose etc. I'd imagine its expected a controller is supposed to last longer than 2 months. Try bringing it back to shop before opening it up i suppose. (had 1st part typed before i remembered sale of goods act!)

Try ongarite's suggestion (below) 1st, it sounds like less hassle!!!

Spin the sticks in circles for a few seconds to recalibrate them and see if it does the trick.
