3rd Yr. Planner looking for work experience.

    Mods, hope this is allowed in the forum, please delete/move if neccessary.

    I am a 3rd year student of Environmental Management & Spatial Planning in DIT Bolton St. I am studying under people such as Henk van der Kamp, former president of the IPI, and have developed a great interest in the Irish Planning System over my 3 years in DIT. A requirement of our course is that we spend 10 weeks working in a Planning office, be it Co.Council offices or private consultancies. I am originally from Cork but ideally I would like to complete these 10 weeks during this summer in Dublin.

    I am asking if anyone would be able to help me in this regard, either directly or indirectly. Any help, be it a position for the summer or a phone number to ring, would be greatly appreciated. I am a hard worker and would love an oppurtunity to work in this field.

    If you can explain why brains and common sense are not a prerequisite for potential planners then the thread is fine :rolleyes:

    Just a thought but would the Art & Architecture forum be worth a post/thread.

    Im still not convinced that this is the right place for this request. Jobs/adverts maybe?
