Sounds like nerves with a side order of indigestion. If it continues go to your GP and see what they say. Plus unless someone is on top of you it sounds a lot louder to you than anyone else.

Rejoice in the awareness of feeling stupid, for that’s how you end up learning new things. If you’re not aware you’re stupid, you probably are.

I'de say it is anxiety-driven, do you notice these noises when yer on yer own? The more you tense up the more it happens, the more you feel anxious, I highly doubt its the food yer eating but I'm no doctor.

mines always making noises..soemtimes its lack of food, sometimes the wrong food and sometimes something like stress.
I think if you ask anyone they would say the same.

go to your Gp if you are worried or you have any indigestion or pain.
But worrying about it will compound the problem

yes it feels alot worse when im on my own , i talked to college person who said if i go to a concellor and if he says i hav anxiety issues , i can get a room with only a few people. what would be best to eat 2 avoid noises. For previous exams i thought it was that i was hungry but didnt realise it. so i brought a bar or something , eat it in toliet. but didnt help.

Its really affecting me as i cant concentrate on the exams at hand. I also feel such discomfort like i hav to pass wind??

Ok then go to the docs and present him with whats happening and a list of symptoms.

i used to go to college in the evenings and it used to happen to me. it was seriously embarassing because i could never figure out if other people could hear it or not.

because i had spent the day in work before college i always needed an energy boost. so i always either had a large coffee (caffeine), or a red bull (caffeine), or pep pills, (caffeine), or cola (caffeine). so basically i put it down to em???, caffeine. it didnt matter if i ate or not, i still used to get it.

i think it might be to do with your digestive system and your bowels. its something liked trapped wind that isnt being realeased. the more stressed you get about it, the more your stomach is going to churn. so basically force yourself to burp or fart or what ever the hell makes you feel better. obvioulsy do this away from other people, otherwise you will have to come back and start a thread about you farting and belching on people.

if it continues maybe get checked out with you GP just to be sure its not something more serious.

Mine always did this in exams due to stress. I never found a cure. I used to bring in an apple with me to eat during exams but it didnt help.

It might not be your stomach. Your colon runs directly underneath your stomach and there's also the issue of the few feet of small-intestine there! Go to your doctor and tell him/her the symptoms.

Background to this? - I have a chronic condition that affects my colon. However, whenever it makes noises, people always assume it's my stomach making noises. I just tell them that I'm hungry... ...:)

All very well if you are having a substantial breakfast but you would be better eating 5 small regular meals a day and make sure you have plenty of fibre in your diet.

That happened both my friend and I when we were in college - we used to skip lectures because of it and only found out in final year of college that we were doing it for the same reason! For me, I know it is stress/anxiety/tension that causes it. So I've taught myself how to calm down in silent group situations (I still get nervous even going to the cinema or a meeting!) but my friend it turned out is celiac (can never spell that word, sorry!) and once she removed gluten from her diet it got so much better.

I do feel bad for you, cause I was in the same boat. But do go see your GP as soon as possible about it as it does begin to affect your life if you let it build into a really big deal.

I have this all the time since last year ~ I had to be rushed into hospital with a twisted bowel last year and had a section of intestine removed.

Since then, I have the Bellagio Fountains playing almost daily :o However, through a method of elimination I have found that the thing that makes it the worst (for this, read loudest!!) is anything to do with bread. Not sure if that helps, but maybe try a couple of protein only breakfasts and see if you notice a difference.

Mine was so loud that the MD commented on it during a Board Meeting he he hee :o

Do you drink many carbonated drinks? Those have a tendency of making people feel bloated.

Also, if you're having a high fibre cereal in the morning without enough liquid, that can cause gastric "noises". So if you're having a bowl of fruit and fibre, drink a couple glasses of water too.

Lastly, do you ever get cramping when you eat certain foods, such as dairy products? Because it could be an enzyme deficiency like lactose intolerance. I have that and my stomach goes all gurgly, I feel really ill, and then I fart all over the place. (It's very attractive...)

Often such things can be a result of stress. Although keep tabs on it because many problems with the stomach have a tendency to happen at night when the person is unaware. Ask yourself do you ever wake up in the night for no reason, there normally is a reason. I had weird sounds that came out of my stomach whenever I got stressed and I paid no attention. Eventually the dentist said the erosion on my teeth might being caused by reflux. Unaware I went for the tests and before xmas I has a laporascopic Nissen fundoplication with sorted out the reflux. Look up on the net the symptoms of reflux, I wasnt aware it was a problem for me at all. Def worth a look.
