Ok, I am going to reply in english!

Yes, i know most of the fourth year agri business class (Im am in fourth yr ag, different course though)

What do you want to know?

Most o fthe people I knwo doing it really love it. Very ag based (in case you didn't get that from teh name) Alot about ag policy and farm accounts, that kind of thing. Most of the fourth years this year have applied to BOI, AIB etc about working in their farm policy sections etc. Are you interested in agriculture at all? Where are you from? Do you have an ag background?

I'll warn you now the first and second year are VERY tough - very science based, all seems pointless at the time (please note the course has been changed a bit in the last three years, I am referring to how it was in first year three years ago sop you may want to look into it a little more and verify but its generally the same now from what I see, maybe even a little easier as they ahve cut out some stuff) First and second year have aall course (animal sci, food sci, agri busincess, forestry eytc all mixed together) When we were in first year we had to do biology, chemistry, physics, ag economics, maths along with one or two otehr subjects. Second year was similar along with crop science, soil science and some more busniess subjects. Third year is more specilaised, mainly just the agri business class (only about 20-30 people in each course at our time, a little more popular now but still very small classes) Third and fourth year are based upon busniess sunjects and are specialised for just the agro busniess class. There are elevtive choices like projcet planning and stuff, all quiet interetsing.

You must do sixteen weeks (or ten weeks can't rem, eber for agri busniess, 16 I think) of professional work experience, this is done in a bank, mpost of our year got placements handy enough, all generally paid and all enojyed, gives a good taste of what the future holds!!!

Do you want to ask anything in particular?

By the way, the ag faculty is GREAT! Very homely, everyone knows everybody, all the lecturers are fairky sound and while there is alot to do it can be fairly laid bacl and the ag faculty is known to be the best partying faculty around! Great ag nights nearly every Thursday night! hope that helps!

Just one final point, if you are planning on just going into general business.working in a bank (not actually the ag saide of things) Id say you would be putting alot of extra work on yourself and would recommend looking into commerce or business or something else......
