    Hello Guys,

I deceided to treat myself last week so I purchased a Tankstick from the USA. It has just arrived to my work address and now I can wait to get home to open the box and plug it in.

Does anybody have one? What should I expect?

    Cheers

Just to let you know that it was a worth while purchase. (Well I have to say that if I spent nearly 200 quid on it:) I was playing StreetFighter 2 & Rampart (Rollerball) last nite and it felt great. I can finally do the Hadouken & Shoryuken properly. Playing SF2 with a PS2 controller isn't the best.

I am looking forward to the long weekend to really give it a try.

I absolutely love my X-arcade. Can't remember how much i paid for it but it was worth it for all the hours of entertainment! Joypads never seem to live up to arcade controls imo :)

I know what you mean LoGiE, I am going to hook up my laptop to my 42" TV for the weekend and really give it ago. Cant wait.

They are on the expensive side but are built to last...

    Ooh! Looks real nice.

I've been reading the reviews, all the ones I read so far are very positive ... lifetime warranty

Where did you guys buy yours from ? Can they be bought in Europe ?

I gotta get me one :)

*shuffles off to check european sites*

hey trout, I got mine from xgaming.com. You can buy from Europe but is more expensive. I got the tankstick, which is the most expensive of all 3 but I am loving it. I got mine for $300 ($100 for the shipping) which works out at about €220.

They come with a lifetime warranty and are built to last. I would recommend if you want to treat yourself:)

Oh ya, I also got a wii\gamecude adapter with mine for $20.

@djsim ... did you not get stung for VAT & import duty shipping something that expensive from the US ?
I got bitten that way at Christmas, and the charges wiped out all of the savings I expected from the exchange rates. :(

tbh ... that's the only reason I'd look for a site closer to home. I did find a crowd in England, have just mailed them for shipping charges.

If you have something really heavy to attach it to, all the better. 2 people playing sometimes it moves about a bit. And possibly the players are too close to each other, bit of elbowing. But that could have just been the players in my experience. ;)

complete nit picking I know but just to throw it out there.

The nice chaps at xgaming but the value of the unit at $40 dollars - computer parts on the commerical invoice so it came through without any tax or duty - happy days.
