Hooking up a Dolby at the moment but the wires I have are not long enough for some of the speakers - my query is in terms of the quality.

Kellehers quoted me €14.10 + Vat for 100m of it
    Peats quotes me:

    €0.40 per metre for standard
€1.140 per metre for more expensive
€5.00 per metre for 'high quality"

Would I even notice the difference - would it be crackly ? or enough for my needs - not exactly a large room, a little more than average sized sitting room for a 3 bedroomed house.

Should I go for the standard quality or as one wholesaler advised me 'don't bother with that stuff from Kellehers - go to Peats' ??

when connecting speakers or any source always allow 10-15% of budget for connecting cables and speaker cable.
I know a lot of people don't believe it but I have experimented a lot with this.
Would you put a mini engine in rolls royce no I wouldn't either.
Some cables are better than others and some suit certain types of equipment better than another.
In certain cases I have proved that it was better to spend another 150.00
on an interconnect cable than buying a new cd player for 600.00
The equipment is only as good as the cable it is connected with !!
    hope this helps.
