Purchasing a site in Greystones

    Looking for some advice.. have found a great site in Greystones which we'd like to build a house on- it seems to be a very cheap price for what it is. Is it very hard to get planning permission in Greystones for two story house once land is purchased? Trying to find out the catch!

    maybe have a look at the planning section on wicklow.ie to see if anyone has applied for permission there in the past.

    If its in the town, there's no fundamental reason why you wouldn't get permission (Greystones is designated a growth centre) but there may be some local issue that has prevented building on the site in the past. You might want to get an architect to look at the site before you put in a bid.
