Travelled to the Dubs vs Monaghan game on Saturday only for it to be called off :(:( , so I headed out on Sunday morning & took in a local game. A few for C&C.

    Excellent shots.

Do you mind me asking what camera/lens you used to take these?

Cheers, I'm really keen to get a decent camera to start trying to take a few sports shots, but not sure if it'll be worth my while forking out that much cash straight up for something I mightn't be particularly good at. I might look at a bridge camera or something first and see how i get on with that.

I'd be fairly clueless about the whole thing to be honest!!

I had several bridge camera's before splashing out. I really enjoy photograhing games & have a keen interest in sport as well.

Nice work. Number 2 is a great shot - the look of focus and dtermination in the guy in the blacks face is unreal! In general there's some mental face scrunching going on here - your subjects would be delighted with their performances I'm sure.

I have access to a 70-200. Must get it out for the ladies gaa matches I frequent in the summer. Looks like it takes a sharp as hell shot.

    Nice work again

Were any of your brigde cameras particularly good for taking sports photos?
If you could recommend one that you found good for this type of photography that would be great.

    My budget is roughly €200-400

I used 2 Fuji Finepix Bridge camera. They have a decent zoom (think its 12x) and 5 frames per second which is pretty good.
