For anyone interested in a great day out, the Motor Vehicle Preservation Society of Ireland will be organising a vintage bus run upto Belfast on Saturday 26th of April 2008, to partake in the annual Irish Transport Trust Bus & Coach Show held on the grounds of the Ulster Folk and Transport Museum, in Cultrá, Co. Down.

Don't think of this as a 'bus spotter' day out, although we will be attending a bus show, most of the passengers we're carrying are attending for the large display in the museum on the grounds (we usually get free admission on the day).

We're taking up a 1979 Leyland Leopard (see attached photo), and maybe one or two more vehicles - depending on whether they're complete in time. For more info see here.

Consider it, it's a great family day out, especially for the classic car/transport enthusiast as the museum up there has one of the best displays of classic cars, motorbikes and trains.

PM me for more info/to book a seat. There's no initial charge for attending, but a donation would be appreciated (suggested donation €10-€15)

    Interesting !

The Ulsterbus Bristol RE was missing from last year's Terenure show. I'm not into them per se, but very nostalgic to see one at the previous two years' shows. One of my favourite "finds" at Terenure :-) That and the ex-UDR jeep.
