Dell Latitude D520 to Sony Bravia HD Widescreen

    I have a dell latitude d520 but the screen on it is horrible. think 1024x750 or something. I thought by conncecting it to my TV the tv screen would act as a new widescreen monitor so I could basically fit more things on the screen. I play a lot of online poker and can only fit 4 tables on my laptop screen without them overlapping. Is there anyway of doing what I want to do or does the tv screen just project what would be displayed on my laptop screen....only biggerr?

    what would i need (equipment/cards etc) to do what I thought it would do??
