Eircom wireless router on Gaelic Telecom

A friend has her broadband connection with Gaelic Telecom. She only received a standard dsl modem. She has been given a wireless router - an eircom netopia router.
When she connected up the eircom one she gets a dsl light but it doesn't give her access.
Is there a way for her to use the eircom wireless router with Gaelic Telecom connection or will she have to buy new independent router?

She'll have to log into the eircom modem and put in the settings for Gaelic telecom. 192.168.1.254 i think is the default ip address of the eircom router.

    Open Internet Explorer.
In the address bar type http://192.168.1.254
In the left menu click 'Expert Mode' then 'Yes' on the main screen.
On the left click Configure then connection.

In the main page delete the Eircom user/password and enter the Gaelic ones.
Do not change any other settings on that page.
At the bottom click 'Save & Restart Connection'.

    Thats it.
