    Hiya :D

Dont know if im on the right site for this one ...

Im dying to buy my own house, i would love nothing more than to have my own home, im paying 460 per month on rent for a room plus 60 bills.
Im on low income and after seeing banks will only get 260,000 morgage which i will never get a decent house in dublin for, and i will not move down the country because why should i be forced to live outside the county i was born in and leave all my family and friends and have to travell to work every day,

Anyway i just think the system is very unfair on people who work full time and pay taxes and cant buy a house unless they have a partner to buy with. Im 27 and fell like il be renting rooms forever. Anyne no of how i can get a house in dublin .........

have you applied for affordable housing ? that should put you within reach of a house/apartment of some sorts if you fit the criteria.

Most definitly not a personal issue.

Where in Dublin are you? I found 22 homes under €250,000 on daft
    http://www.daft.ie/searchsale.daft?s%5Bcc_id%5D=ct1&s%5Bmnb%5D=&s%5Bmxb%5D=&s%5Bmnp%5D=&s%5Bmxp%5D=250000&s%5Bpt_id%5D=1&s%5Bhouse_type%5D=&s%5Bmna%5D=&s%5Bmxa%5D=&search=Search+%BB&more=&tab=1&s%5Bsearch_type%5D=sale&s%5Btransport%5D=&s%5Badvanced%5D=&s%5Bprice_per_room%5D=

Seems to be Balbriggan, Tallaght and Finglas mainly. I'll let you decide if they are undesirable or not

Technically I'd imagine this would be more suited to the accommodation and property section, but personally I would consider it a personal issue when someone feels: "forced to live outside the county i was born in". Unfortunately thesedays many people feel this way.

OP; you could, like me, refuse to move because of the craziness that has enveloped the city of your birth and continue to rent privately; otherwise you could check out the affordable housing options throughout the city. Good luck whatever way you choose to go.

While I can see where you're coming from I don't feel this is a personal issue, so I'm closing this thread. Check out the links already posted for further info. If you want to reopen this thread for some reason I can't see, drop me a PM

Rejoice in the awareness of feeling stupid, for that’s how you end up learning new things. If you’re not aware you’re stupid, you probably are.
