Hello ,since using media centre more often ,I'm finding it a nusiance not being able to record tv and view something else at the same time.

I don't have a lot of room in my pc ,so usb is my only option. I'm not sure if this is possible though ,will they conflict?
I know it's possible to have two pci cards ,but I presume it's harder for them to conflict that way.

Mixing of tuners PCI/USB isn't problem. However with Windows MCE, mixing souces is, as they require different EPG's. You can't have Sky and NTL mixed for example.

Bear in mind that you can get dual tuner TV cards. The hauppage PVR500 is what you are looking for, unless your case is low profile of course.

Thanks for the reply ,I had a look for the pvr500 and it's no longer available:(

There doesn't seem to be any Dual tuner cards around ,except of course for digital.
I didn't realize that mce wouldn't use digital and analog at the same time.

    Cheers for the help.

you can get one, you just need to persevere. also.....

Technically, MCE can mix Analog and digital, but they must be on the same EPG, For example, in St. Paul the epgs all include have the HDTV OTA channels and the stay at the chanell numbers 1xxx range. So channel 1-450 is cable, and 1000-1008 is the digital HDTV (ATSC) tuner.

Thanks again ,I never thought of looking at different manufacturers.
