I have a "Total Control" Digisender I got in Argos about a year ago and its a joke. It constantly has interference on it and is never clear anymore. Does anyone know of any decent Digisender that works without interference??

    Cheers,
    Jonny.

I got one in argos last year aswell and has gone the same way.

As far as I know all these digisenders work on the same frequency as Wireless broadband, Microwaves, Bluetooth. So if someone close to you uses these constantly it will cause the inference. I think the best way to get around this is to use cable

I used to have one too, but the introduction of wi-fi in my house meant the end for my video sender.

You could try changing the channel used by the video sender (usually A, B, C or D) and/or wifi router (if you have one), to see if you can reduce the interference.

Rented accom so I can't go the cable route.

I found the problem with it a little while ago. My 360 was plugged in but off and when I plugged it out the upstairs TV was crystal clear.
Still looking at getting a new system tho. The digisender 440 (X7) runs on 8Ghz so oes that mean no interference for me?

Is this the one you mean? http://www.aei.eu/community/html/modules/articles/article.php?id=61

Cos it says '* 2.4Ghz & 433.92 Mhz Operation' on that page... If it's the same one your talking about.

EDIT, just found this 5.8Ghz senders, they would not be wiped out by bluetooth/wifi/wireless networks. (not sure if they are legal to use here) :http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?ModuleNo=222672&doy=18m3&C=SO&U=strat15

According to Comreg, only 2.4GHz may be used for Video Senders. It's not the 1st time Maplin has had gear they shouldn't. They had walkie Talkies that didn't meet any EU/UK/Irl rules for a while.

Items for only specific EU countries must be marked with CE /!\ symbol and a list of illegal/legal States (List may be inside box though!), or possibly CE (!).

5.8GHz is used for "registered" licence free WAN Internet/Broadband and also WiFi 802.11a operate at radio frequencies between 5.725 GHz and 5.850 GHz (the same Licence free ISM band).

I had a digisender - but i gave up on it - pure shiotte.
I went the cable route - i bought 2 tevion magic eyes and an slr dual feeder (on ebay) which is powered from the rf powered outlet from the back of the digibox.........works a treat, easy diy job and cheap to do.

defo the way to go........pm me if you want more.

Thats the one I was on about alright!! I saw a post on another board about it being 8Ghz but I imagine they got it wrong.

I think I will just get someone to sign up for sky an get my free sky plus box out of it then while they are here get them to throw the other box into the room upstairs then.
