    Anyone watched this new movie?
I thought I would enjoy this, this is annoying as hell, with Mammoths in the time of Egyptians etc. Full of non senses and not even entertaining.

The kidnapped girl is not even pretty lol..

i really want to see it,
is it not enjoyable at all ?

i enjoyed apocolypto and i like war films like troy etc

AND no harm in mindless action. Doesnt have to be deep all the time, every time :)

I went yesterday and I saw why the paper said 'Apocalypto' did it already. Yes but.... I thought it was well done.

Complaint: No she's not pretty pretty BUT... they are people in the time of Mammoths: they can't microwave food or have a quick shower. I didn't expect ALL the girls to be beach babes with eyeliner etc., even Ms Heroine. The faces will look sunburnt and dirty if they travel as they do (saying no more for now). I think there is a lot of good work on display.

Pretty decent, but also entirely predictable. Nice effects though, and some interesting set pieces.

All in all, worth a look, in many ways even as a more family friendly version of Apocalypto. While the films aren't exactly the same, they share very similar premises.

heh, the review in the Irish Times criticised it heavily for looking exactly like they all had their own personal gym and make-up artist.

    I would tbh.

Not going near this film though.

Saw this last night. Wasn't expecting much but tbh it was pretty entertaining. I had watched Vantage Point the night before and I honestly felt 10,000BC was a more enjoyable experience.

Not the blockbuster it was expected to be but worth a watch.

I plan to see it soon. Leaving out all the historical inaccuracies it probably will be a fun romp.
And people think the girl aint hot? Ludicrous.

my personal dodgey review of it... http://bebo.com/BlogView.jsp?MemberId=447938376&BlogId=6067409649

may contain spoilers not that it's that important but just to be on the safe side....

Shame because Emmerich usually made good films. But then again, this didn't look like anything more than eye candy.

Its a glam remake of "Quest for fire" which was a remake of "1,000,000 years bc"

    Are you feeling ok there?

TDAT is by no means the worst film ever made; extremely stupid but an impressive spectacle all the same. The ratings on IMDB reflect that. Then there's Stargate which is a cracking film.

Please don't cpompare Quest For Fire to 1,000,000BC... :(

10,000 BC is one of the stupidest films I've ever seen. It's laughably stupid. People remarkably healing over night. Walking across a continent takes 'days.' One of the main characters befriends a saber-toothed tiger, I was in stitches for most of the film. Absolutely appalling.
