Was in Lifestyle sports in Ashbourne on Saturday and they had some home excercise kit reduced. One good price was €50 for a fold-away bench with 27kg barbell. Also had cycling machine with LCD readout down to €80. Few other bargains too.

Bike(BC-6910G-H) is the older model of THIS
Basically looks the same only the LCD is different... He said he'd a few left n was trying to get rid of them to clear up space...
    12 preset programes + 1 Manual
    Upto 4 Users
LCD with Pulse, Calories, Distance, Speed, Time and Recovery

Bike is same as this only different LCD

    Bench is HERE

Its a damn good deal if u ask me...

In Argos the nearest bike to the same spec is €264, bench is €80 and weights €37..

    Argos: €381
    Lifestyle: €150

Also, the bike is great... The one that was on offer was smaller and had manual tension adjustment.. This one is bigger n sturdier and comes with 12 preset programmes so the tension adjusts automatically depending on the programme. Note: you'll need to plug it in...

They come flat packed, I got both into the back of a micra... Takes just over hour to get the two of them assembled and its dead easy instructions are prob the best of any flat pack gear i've done..

    Is it not €130?

Other branches are doing these for €170 http://www.lifestylesports.com/aspx/departmentHomepage.aspx?loc=R&catid=5

Still a good deal. I want that bench!

Sorry, brain aint working well this eve... The bench is great for the price.. Its smaller than I thought which is great as I don't have that much space to spare...

And the bike u get in the other branches isn't as good as the one in Ashbourne... I've no idea how many of the one I got they have left...

Would there be any of these benches still available in Blanch store?

For cheap high end equipment and cheap plates check out www.irish-lifting.com

I would advise against any cement/plastic plates- they deteriorate over time. Buyandsell, gumtree etc are loaded with second hand weights, not like the plates can really break (iron ones anyway).

If you are serious you might want a better bench, I no longer use mine, too flimsy feeling.

For the real bargain hunters check my link, I would HIGHLY recommend getting some gymnastics rings, they can take the place of a whole host of exercise equpiment, and could be made for around €15-20

I like the bike. I wonder do they have any left for €80 and if so where?

Make sure he will use it or you will end up with a heavy duty clothes horse. :)

I sent someone to the Ashbourne branch to get the bench, and he was told €70. After the sales person went and checked, he did get it for €50. I doubt I could've gotten the bike based on that though.

It took me quite a while to set it up as I haven't done anything like that for years. It gives you everything you could need to screw everything together and labels the screws etc. according to the step they are used for in the manual.

The only issue I had is that for the side yolks you pull to your chest (I know all the lingo ) the bolts were hitting the frame on the way. I loosened it then as I'm guessing that is not meant to be as tight as everywhere else, but I am still wary of that happening still the odd time.

Anybody else found this? I know I haven't put it together wrong, it is most likely based on how tight that is attached, and if it's too tight it is harder to pull to your chest anyway.
