I am 18 am in an engineering course in college. I have basically no work experience and I need a weekend job (everything is so damn expensive). I am not picky. I would work Friday and Saturday, day or night as well as all day Sunday.Maybe Thursday evening. I would take nearly any job too. Any suggestions on how I should write my CV? Anybody see any signs in shop windows, restaurants? All help is very appreciated :).

Btw: Whats the deal with nearly every job requiring experience?

    i feel your pain.

i'm just finishing up my final year in college (an engineering course too!)

i found the best policy is to get a full time job during the summer (civil service temp would be a good one for you) and save enough to get you through the next year. still tough tho.

there's jobs out there for you expreience or not. print off a couple C.V's (spruce them up a bit if your stuck) and show that your not an idiot and youve the edge on most ppl out there.

    remember, persistance is key!

    best of luck

Why do you suggest that site to everyone? Do you own it? Thanks for the suggestion though.

Plenty of jobs out there if you're not picking. Either lie about the expeirence or tell them you're a fast learner. I'd go in and ask the manager if they're hiring, rather than wait for signs.

    If we're talking sites, I'd go for http://www.nixers.com - it's a bit more casual

Everything I don't like is either woke or fascist - possibly both - pick one.

Could you note when you post these that you are associated with the site (don't assume that people can figure it out from your sig) and could you tone it down just a little, we're getting reported posts about you pimping too much.

For everyone else: A little pimping is tolerated simply because he does add more to the forum than just links to sites he's involved in.

It's no problem, as I said earlier you contribute a lot to this forum which is the important bit.
