Three modem damage

    Hi.
The mini-usb cable for my three modem has become damaged- the mini-usb end is bent slightly.

I was told by CPW there is nothing they can do for me.
It's still under warranty but they say it's PHYSICAL damage and not a manufaacturer's fault so they won't do anything even I pay for it.

    Does this sound right.
Basically what they're saying is i'd have to buy a new modem.
    Any advice appreciated.
    Thanks

Sounds right. Warranty is against a fault due to manufacturing problems, not against accidental damage. Any manufacturing company does the same. Have a look around for another cable.

am i right in saying only the cable is damaged? its not some special cable unique to 3, its just a standard mini usb cable and can be bought in any number of shops for maybe €10

and no, if you physically damage something they don't have to do anything for you

    Yeah it's just the cable.
I know longer cables are easy to get but I can't find any as short as the Three cable (which suits the modem just fine).
    Shame.

So you know where to get a SHORT mini-usb cable (like the one that comes with the modem) :) ?
I've looked around and all i can find are ones over a metre in length (for about 20 quid IIRC).
The short one is nice and discrete.

Get one of these retractable cables.
