    Agreed, great for Italy. Scotland have been shocking this year.. Italy haven't been great but have shown much more promise. Shame they didn't get over that try, they don't deserve the wooden spoon as much as Scotland.

    Well done Italy they deserved the victory probably not the wooden spoon though. Unlike Scotland they'v only played 40 minutes of terrible in the whole competition.

    I'm amused (though not surprised) that Nicol didn't give man of the match to Parisse. He really is a ridiculously good player.

    I thought that the wooden spoon went to the team that failed to win a game and was not allocated if two teams finished bottom on equal points. The Italian Papers are saying "Rugby, battuta la Scozia: niente cucchiaio" or Rugby, Scotland beaten no wooden spoon.

    So did I, but it seems in recent times the media interprets the Wooden Spoon as the title given to the team that finishes bottom...
