    The Random Nouns, a new Dublin Indie folk outfit, play The Boom Boom Room on Thursday April 3rd. Support comes from Jennifer Evans and the Ripe Intent. Doors are at 9 pm and tickets are €10. The Random Nouns are a new Dublin based act with a style that has been described as ‘dark, pretty and desolate’ and influences ranging from Nick Cave to James Yorkston via Delia Derbyshire. Jennifer Evans and the Ripe Intent are inspired by acts as wide ranging as Kate Bush, Billie Holiday and The Doors, and bring a subtle blend of folk jazz to their gigs. Miss Evans has a pure, haunting voice that has echoes of great folk songstresses of the past and dark poetic lyrics that stay with you.
