Any guys out there when you bleach or dye your hair do you get it done at a hairdresser or buy stuff from the shop? Is there a difference?

Also, if you get the stuff from the shop, what shops do you use?

Finally, do you think it would look good for a guy with dark hair to dye blue highlights into it? Generally speaking?

I always get mine done at a hairdressers - at least you're pretty much guaranteed it will end up blonde and not orange

Blue highlights wouldnt be very visible unless you dyed your hair white first - stupid if u ask me

I always get mine done at the hairdressers. When you're blonde it's safer to go to a professional. My sister did it herself and it turned her hair red/orange. Very funny at the time!!!
I was blonde for 5 years and took the plunge to go back brunette a couple of months ago. Still go to the hairdressers even though I could probably just get a bottle of dye from the chemist!

I started dying my hair a few years ago, and I've had it every colour you can imagine! When it comes to blonde though, definitely get it done professionally; it WILL end up orange. If you dye your hair a lot yourself the colour tends to be uneven and it'll gradually build up, so when it comes to dying it blonde it'll be orange and patchy. Go for it yourself though if you're putting blue in it, even if it turns out orange the blue itself will take grand to it. I'd use Stargazer semi permanant first though to get an idea as to whether it suits you or not though, and if you're not happy with it, it's an easy dye to dye over!
