Buying a second hand car?

If a car dealership is selling a second hand car, and that car had previously been in a crash, is the dealer obligated to inform the consumer or can they say nothing??

I wouldn't think so. Unless you asked specifically and they lied to you.

Do you have a problem with the car? Is it still within warranty?

When was the car bought? If it is after a certain date, I think it was May 2007 they are obliged. Sorry cannot recall the date or the exact piece of legislation. Contact National Consumer Agency http://www.consumerconnect.ie/eng/
