New drive with XP - options.

    So, here's what I currently have; P4 2.4Ghz, 3Gb ram & 1 200Gb HDD.

The hdd is nearly full and is old and slow. I just bought one of the Samsung F1 750Gb drives and I'm going to install that, load XP onto it, and re-install games/app etc. I don't think the games will run from the original drive if I load xp on the other? Maybe...not sure.

The old drive will be then used as storage.

Should I partition the new drive when installing XP, and if so how much space should I allocate for it? I've no idea. One site I looked at said 2Gb for the OS and another 10Gb for each big application being installed.

    All advice appreciated.
