Laptop Speaker Issue

Hi, I have recently been having a problem with my Logitech USB speakers. Up until about 2 days ago they were working fine. Now I can't get any sound from them. They plug in fine, the computer recognises the speakers and they power on, but no sound comes out. I don't know what else to try other than taking them out, trying a different USB slot, restarting apps or the laptop. And as I said, they worked fine up until recently. Is there anything else I could be doing or should I just bring these back to the shop?

Haha Chris :) Yeah, I checked that. The onboard speakers work fine, but the whole thing goes dead when I plug in my speakers. It's baffling. Worked fine a few days ago.

Try a system restore to before the point at which they stopped working.

    Test them on another machine.

If I attempt a system restore, shouldn't I make sure I have everything backed up first? I think I might bring them back to the store I bought them at, as I don't have any other machine to test them out on =/

No windows system restore doesn't affect any of your files.

If it was a computer shop they should have a computer there to test them on.

Plug in some headphones and see if the port is working. If not i would get the computer fixed and if the headphones are working then bring the speakers back
