Pro evo (PS3) wasnt working for me a minute ago after me playing this morning, so i took it out to check was it dirty, which wasnt, threw it back in and still no joy. Tried a diffrent disk and it worked grand so i looked at pro evo cd again, it has a small crack on the inside of the disk (it starts at the very inside and finishes somewhere in the middle of the silver part that says "playstation"). I have absolutely no idea how this happened, as i said it was working grand this morning, and it hasnt left the ps3 since

Any one have any suggestions on what to do? Or is my only option to buy it again?

    FIFA tbh...

    /Joke

Its kinda strange that a crack there would make it unplayable. Try phoning the helpline at the back of the box, or if you have the receipt, try the shop.

Retailers responsibility all the way. Nothing to do with Sony, especially.

Have you still got the reciept? Its important as they dont have to humour you if you dont.

This should be in consumer issues, btw. :)

Its hardly the shops responsibilty is it? I bought it its launch day (october or november)
I really doubt i still have the receipt

Rang sony, they didnt want to know about it. Never happended before apparently:rolleyes: (I should have linked them to here)

I'm going to try konami now.

EDIT: The more think about it, it has to be playstation fault, i mean the game was obviously not cracked when i put it in there. I'll ring them again tommorrow i think, there should be at least one case of it happeing before seeing as I reported it today!

No proof of purpose means you are going to have a hard time getting any satisfaction. Good luck though.

I heard of one case where weak discs snapped due to the internal heat of a console, literally just once though.

As stated it's nothing to do with sony, you'll have to go to the retailer.

Just thought i'd update this to say Konami are a shower of vvanks!

Got in touch with them last week, told me that the would not replace the game, even after i told them that i would post it back the broken one at my expense and that i have bought every pro evo ever out.

Will never buy another Pro evo again

Well, you could buy another copy of it, put the broken one in, bring it back the next day and say there was a crack in it. Most, if not all PS3 games are sealed up, and so they can't be checked for damage when buying.

Actually, it would be better if you went back to the shop within the hour, so they dont think you swapped it.

Yes, this may sound like the wrong thing to so, but its not like you dont want the game, and Im sure you wouldn't purposely damage your game for no reason.

If Konami are being asses, and it seems they are, why not get a swap. Hell, how much is the price of a disc? If they say no to you, sure they would say no to everyone. TYhen they never have to worry about returns if thats the case.
