SATA Hard Drive problems

    i got a new SATA hard drive and windows XP wont load when its enabled in the BIOS. The Bios detects it etc but it just hangs on the loading screen. Ive no idea what to do. Can anyone help?

    I have 3 IDE hard drives installed and im trying to ahve the SATA drive just as a plain old data drive no fancy RAID crap. can anyone help?

    is the harddrive with windows on it set as the master boot in bios?

    yes its an IDE drive
