I'm thinking of picking to a wangle (wide angle lens :D),
I'm not fully sure if i would like it, so i dont want to fork out on a decent one. Does anybody know of any cheap lens about, so I could get an idea of views achieved, I would be after something in the 10-20 range, or even wider, basically wider than the kit, consider fish eye.

Even a worn second hand would do to get an idea i think. I don't want to fork out 300 for a sigma 10-20 if i don't use/like it

    btw its for canon

Russian brand fisheye, Peleng csts about £150 on ebay, so works out to be about €200 with the current exchange rate. manual focus but thats no problem with fisheye. I think theres a piece about lenses in the stickies and the general consensus regarding wide angles is that you pay for what you get....cheap lens usually means cheap results.
The Peleng isn't exactly cheap but its not AF and is made from old tanks apparantly, so you know its going to weigh in and be able to take a beating.

I love wangles, I'd rarely shoot above 50mm and if I do, it would be 150-200mm or more.

Go into a camera store and ask to try one out, or rent one for a day.

I was thinking of trying the used ones in Conns ir similar,
so the same price as a tank lens, it would probably be alot better
