    hey all,

just rejoined a new chain with a chain breaker, the link that i put back together is now a lot more rigid than its brothers. i've pushed the pin out again.

anyway i can stop this rigidness happening? maybe by putting a small piece of metal between the link plates and then yanking it out once the pin is all the way in? (if this makes sense)

or will it disappear from use (and a bit of oil) once the chain is on and moving around the cog/chainring?

    thanks

If you are still having trouble. Why not look at getting a link connector, SRAM ana KMC do them for sure.
Work a dream unless you are prone to breaking chains.
Handy if you use more than one chain and want to swap them every 400-500 miles.

It is normal and will pass. With your hands move it back and forth to get rid of some of the stiffness in the link. Sore fingertips will let you know when to stop.

That worked out perfectly, the chain is running smooth now, the links are just the same as the others. Thanks!
