When did this come about ? I stumbled across it on the IFCO website earlier -
    http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0406759/

    PG-13 Rating ?
    Jessica Alba ?

    Buh  ?

    EDIT:
Hit submit a bit prematurely there.

I only saw the original one there last year based on a recommendation from Karl Hungus and really really enjoyed it.

It had a real sense of tension throughout hte whole film and not just "cheap" scares (things jumping out etc.).

I think this may go the way of ring to be honest, very few people knowing about the Japenese (Or is it Korean ? I cant remember ?) original but praising the hell out of the american remake.

I only hope they can hold some of the tension of the original, but with the PG-13 rating its looking doubtful.

well, jessica alba is definitely hotter than the korean chick

but I don't remember any nudity in the eye, so I'm not holding out much hope for this remake

    25th April over here -

They do seem to stick relatively closely to the base material according to that, ill reserve judgement until I see the film itself though. Some extra scares thrown in too.
Is it just me or does there seem to be what looks like extra material from the scene where the tanker explodes at the end ? I wonder if they extended that part ? Also they've kept in the elevator scene at least, I hope they've kept it as tense as the origional.

I truly cringe at the thought of this. The original is superb.
