Hi. I have to go unregistered for this one. Here is our problem. My wife has had a recurrent urinary tract infection (UTI) for the last 7 months which she has been battling to get rid of. She has been to the doctor, urologist and even herbal practitioners and the thing wont shift. Its slightly better than it was but is slow to go (which we have been told that it eventually will). She has been on antibiotics throughout, and came off the pill in Jan 2007 when we started trying to conceive

To date, there has been nothing and we are worried that something is wrong. Could it be the antibiotics she is on? They are quite strong? She also had some exam to check her urethra ahich was inflamed at the time. I have been told that it would have taken her about 6 months after stopping the pill for something to happen anyway as she was on it for about 15 years which would have coincided with her getting this UTI.

Does anyone know if it would be the antibiotics or something else preventing this happening? Should I get tested, and if so where and how much would it cost? Any help appreciated as she is understandably quite upset about the whole thing...

    OP
