Has anyone here made their own instruments?
I would think circuit bending or even pedal making count as experimental music as you really do not know what sound you are going to get.
So are DIY theremins and such experimental music? If so what have you made?

I made a thumb piano a couple of years ago, unfortunately it wasn't very good or very experimental :(

I have an old casio keyboard and a soldering iron begging to be used so maybe something will come out of that...

Nice thumb piano. That keyboard could be up for a circuit bending alright.

circuit bending seems to be the way to go alright. Seems to be getting very fashionable. I wonder if it is possible to mess up an mc303 or something, and load on your own sounds...!?

eh, dunno if these 2 count.. but playing the saw with a bow, recorded and processed through reaktor creates some weird ambience.

and also, an IDE/SATA drive with discs starting/stopping close to guitar pickups..
