The US store went down earlier in the week and returned with no new products. More here.

Probably just some site maintenance. New products are usually added on a Tuesday.

New iMacs are expected tomorrow. It would be unusual for them to be released on a Monday.

US Store is down too. Come on Mac Mini updates! (I know, I know, it's probably nothing, and if it's something it's probably only the iMac... :()

An iMac update? Already! They released the new model about 6 months ago.
I would love it to be a new Macbook or Mac Mini but it's probably a minor spec update or something.

MacBooks aren't due an update. Minis are but while new part numbers corresponding to iMacs have appeared in suppliers' listings, nothing corresponding to Minis. :(

Edit: It's back up. New iMacs. No new Minis. Damn reality.

Its not the first time in recent days you have mentioned this. Im not doubting your knowledge at all, id be just surprised if apple have made a major change to the imac already?

Well not a redesign, no. But they were overdue a refresh which is all I expected them to get.

Hmm, just noticed that while they haven't been updated, they have come down in price - €499 for the 1.83GHz model, €469 with a regular student discount or €448 with a student discount going through UCD's website :D

Still seem to be $600 plus sales tax in America, or €384 plus tax by today's exchange rate, meaning if you can use a UCD student discount (I think other colleges have special ones too) it's not all that much dearer and a lot less hassle to buy here.

EDIT: Strangely enough, they haven't reduced the price on the British store, it's still £399, or €506. This makes it cheaper to buy a Mini here than in Britain, before any discounts are taken into account. Now there's a first! Maybe I should order one before Apple notice their mistake! :p

Did the mini only drop in price today? For 500 I'm really tempted. Make a nice replacement for XBMC.

Yep, and they're being very quiet about it. It seems to be only in the Euro zone, bringing it into line with Britain (not America though, although everything's cheaper there anyway). Are Apple finally copping on? :D

Is it possible they just want to flog off the remaining stock before they introduce a brand new mac mini?

Bet the assholes still wont put a decent graphics card in it

I would be inclined to think that except that the price is still the same in America and Britain. You'd imagine if they were selling off stock they'd reduce it worldwide. Maybe they want to avoid getting flak from the EU about it being so much cheaper in Britain than any other member state (don't really know much about financial law so please don't start quoting the usual "taxes, shipping costs, etc." arguments at me, I'm just pondering is all :))

    But anything's possible of course.
