Today's WTF Moment

So I was in Superquinn in Ranelagh this afternoon browsing around for something interesting to eat for dinner when I saw what looked like lungs on the fish counter!

After closer examination (and I admit a quick phone call to my mum who knows all) I discovered it was cod roe.

I only ever remember eating this from a can, so had never seen the real thing (though mum claims she cooked it for us when I was younger)

    I remember it being yummy.

Anyone know if they'd be willing to chop it into small pieces for me or do you think they're only interested in shifting the whole "pair of lungs" :)

Any time they got strange things like sharks or similar,
they were normally displayed first, they cut up for sale,
    maybe the case here

I might check back in a couple of days then.

I'd really like to try it fresh rather than from the tin.
