hey just looking for some advise. i was in a car crash last thursday, which was my fault. i got my mechanic to give me a quote on the damage and it was €1220 my car is a 99 suburu vivio and has a dent at the front and back of the car and i would probably only get under €1500 for it. does this mean that my car is a write off and that i could get the money from the insurance to put towards a new car instead of fixing the car and then selling it.

Based on that quote, it may well be declared a write off. However, was that a main dealer or an independent workshop? Are they replacing all parts or repairing some?
Don't get just one quote by the way!
