I have two sata 200gb hard drives.

I have formatted 30gb for windows c: on drive 1 when installing windows

Now my problem is what kind of fomat should i do for the rest of drive 1 and what should i format for the drive 2

I want to be able to install my games on a separate drive also so could some1 explain how i do this?

I tried installing a game on the rest of drive one but it is not allowing me to do this.

I have tried google but have not found any good results.

    Help would be much appreciated

    NTFS for the partition/second disk.

Installing to the partition should be as easy as specifying the install directory at install time.

i have gone into disk management and i can select two types of partitions for the rest of drive 1 and drive 2.....either "primary" or "logical".

Now i want to be able to make the rest of drive1 into a partition that allows me to install games directly onto that drive. But when i tried this it only allowed me to install onto the C: drive which i do not want. I am able to drag files onto the other partitions but just cant install any games???

ok i think i have it. i had to make a new folder in my new partition E: drive so that i could install the game onto the folder rather than the "bare drive" itself

    novice mistake i imagine=)

    tnx 4 de help

You can make the rest logical. It won't make a difference to the game either way.
