Stupid ebay feedback and dispute system again

Thsi is ridiculous. At the begining of December I bought an item off ebay. It was $20 and $40 for postage from he US. There was no sign of it for ages and they were very slow to reply to my mails and took 3 or 4 messages where i repeatedly asked for a reply and then for a resolution ( a resend or refund). Then at the begining of Feb they said they'd have a look to see if they had another one, Came back a few days later saying they had one and would resend. I asked about the item the first time after about 3 weeks and she told me that registered/tracking wasnt available to Europe, even though I paid extra for the USPS prioirty system that says theres tracking and sent her the link

I opened a dispute just before this as they were ignoring my mails. A month passes by , during which the dispute auto closed because it was more than 90 days since the auction (bloody stupid system) and 2 days ago I mailed again askign what the story was because I still havent recived anything. At this stage I doubt the sent either of them because 1 lost item i possible but 2 from the same seller when I normally have no problems is unlikely. They never seemed overly concered about saying havign to send another one, it was all very flippant. The first message I sent was a general one sent through the "question for the seler" button on the auction.

I got a reply an hour or so later askign could I be specific as to which customer I was so I sent the item number within 30 secs of getting he reply, 2 days then passed at which stage I left negative feedback which I feel was warranted . I sent "Terrible service ,3 months and no sign of item.. seller now ignoring messages." TO whic they replied very quickly all of a sudden with "LOST IN SHIPPING/I OFFERED REUND +1/2 OF SHIPPING COST BACK/MEAN & RUDE WOMAN F" (it's the missus' account). So there I am with no item, out the equivelant of $60, negative feedback and beng personally abused and lied about with absolutely no grounds. A refund was only mentioned once on her part, where she said just before sendin the item a 2nd time that if shecouldnt find one she'd refund me, after that , there was no mention of a refund.

All the way through the 3 months I was polite and requested refunds of solutions without a hint of rudeness. After a couple of back and forth mails Their attitude is " we fullfilled our part in sending it and we will refund the item cost and half the postage if the feedback is withdrawn" . Now this is ridiculous because I'm being held to ransom by someone who lied bout me and wont refund me till I take back the feedback. Whats the point of feedback if I cant be truthfull? As in this case all the seller has to do is lie to make the buyer take it back. I'm well pissed off over all this.

    Appologies for the long rant.

TBH I'm that annoyed I'm half thinking of opening a new acocunt to spoil some of their auctions and leave neg feedback, but that would be dragging myself down to thei level.

I would take the lesson to file an item not received dispute with paypal within their timescales and move on. You will be able to leave feedback from the summer (I think) without retaliation from a seller.
