Home Improvement Costings

    Hi guys,

We are deciding between doing the following home alterations or moving and was hoping someone could give me a rough idea of costing. We are looking to move our downstairs WC to under the stairs and converting the existing downstairs WC to utility room. We would like to add on sunroom extension (within exemption limits) probably with a vaulted ceiling. I would also like to upgrade the main bathroom, ensuite and kitchen (I understand that the cost of this is highly variable according to finish etc). It's more the building work I'm interested in guesstimating costings.
Also if possible I would like to knock the built in wardrobe in Master bedroom into built in wardrobe in adjoining bedroom and make a (small) walk in wardrobe. Finally our 3rd bedroom has a large overstairs box that I would like to have wardrobes/fitted unit constructed over if possible.

Any help would be greatly appreciated - sorry for long post!!

    Apologies. A bit giddy.
Seriously though, there are numerous fit-out companies developing due to the recent changes in the construction market and you seem to have great clarity in what you want.

There are so many factors relating to your existing structure and layout that would influence the costing and feasibility that I think it would be best to for you to get quotes.

As a little bit of a rule of thumb, the longer they spend investigating your existing property, the more realistic the quote is likely to be.

Thanks guys for the replies. Apologies as I know my question was a little in the "How long is a piece of string..." category!
