As far as I know, it hasn't been on yet.
    Just tuned in now.

I'm in the middle of a project for college on Flickr as a service provider. Wonder what they're gonna talk about.

They're on about broadband speeds at the moment so it'll probably be a nice run into Flickr!

Nope! Broadband speed rolled into the traffic report.
Nice link, given that "crawling" is a good adjective for both, in Ireland. :D

pfft they need to talk about user participation and how its a prime example of a web 2.0 service. How the service is using web as a platform and how the site just goes organically. Specially about the revolutionary tagging others photos system.

Not much being said that any flickr user wouldn't already know.
Seems more like a publicity piece for flickr.

And there was me thinking *you* were on it...

Was there something posted about a radio interview on the subject of Boards a while back?

    Give over, sineadw!
I'm too shy for radio. :D

It was pretty useless, I cringed at some of the questions Cooper asked.

well.. he's hardly a technology journalist so... whaddya expect? They have a tech slot, but it's always tech from the layman's perspective.

If it makes you feel any better, I text one of the speakers after the interview and poked some fun.

Surely the social networking aspect of flickr was a worthy talking point?
You have to wonder how much the researchers get paid, when the best they can come up with is some lightweight discussion on a website!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,819 ✭✭✭rymus

I suspect the researchers put all their effort into the 'real' interviews and articles that take place beforehand. it's a filler piece to kill time until the end of the show at 7pm. That's why the tech slot is always last

He read out a statement from a texter saying that Picasa was free and allowed unlimited uploading. No one challenged this.
