    Hi SandyG,

Visited this site between Xmas and New Year. Wet and Windy, but wasn't everywhere at that time.

Owners were very friendly. Although the facilities were a bit on the basic side they were spotless. Showers were free, with nice hot water on a cold morning. The owner is putting money into the site, with new shower blocks being built while we were there.

This is a working farm, and there were a wide selections of animals on view - Emus, Llamas, alpacas, reindeer (well it was Christmas!). We even managed to rescue a goat from the river while we were there.

Would definitely recommend a visit in the summer, but the kids had a ball after the commercialism of Xmas.

    Zoltar

I was there in the summer time when it was very busy. There were kids running amok around the place until after midnight. The facilities were basic enough but there were nice walks around the site. We left after one night because of the noise.

Around this time of year it should be quiet though.

P.S. Thx for the invite but I wont be joining you. Let us know how you get on tho.

Ah... Been here loads of times, one of our fav campsites!!! :) Def VERY busy during the summer but should be quite at this time of here. Great for kids - have horse riding etc (not sure if its on at this time of yr) also have boat rides etc. Have a shop/cafe place too. Great place... One fo the best we've been in. Many caravan/camping clubs go here during the summer - hence the busy/loud times - that happens when everyone knows everyone! (Just a note for others, this place needs to be booked if you plan to go during the summer)

Def recommend it! Near the village too - just a walk up the avenue (long enough avenue)

Are you sure thats not a windup? Why tickets? Just go out and look up at the sky. Maybe I'm missing something.
