    afternoon all,
just had a quick scout around t'internet and it appears base-layers are a lot more expensive than i thought. i bought a couple of nike fit tops in the US last year for $25, would be lucky to get half a top for that price over here if i'm reading things correctly.
is it possible to get nike fit gear here? all i'm seeing that's at the "cheap" end is under armour and canterbury. pretty shocked at the prices, i have to say! apols if this is not the forum for this sort of talk, feel free to tell me where to go.
    yours in thriftiness,

Everything is a lot more expensive here than the States!

I'm not a big fan of Nike stuff - IMO you pay for the "swoosh" and there's all the ethical side of things. Probably because of that I've never come across "nike fit" before but I would imagine that you can get it online from the likes of www.wiggle.co.uk. Or ebay?

I've always found New Balance and Saucony technical T-shirts great for running and (I think) I paid €20 - 25 each last time I got some. I also have a couple of running t-shirts from Aldi, €4 each and as good as anything else I have!

    Where are you based?

The Kildare Outlet centre has some good deals on Nike gear in the Nike shop abviously.
I recently got some under layers for €20 down there.

Yeah, I got 9 pairs of nike ankle socks for €20 and a pair of very light cotton trackpants for €20 last week there. Good value based on normal Nike prices or high street prices. Good deals alround if you are lucky to find what you want.

I use an UnderArmour cold gear top and find it totally excellent. Best bit of kit I ever bought. Not sure how much it costs here as I did get it in the US, but Elvery's do stock UA I think. If it is at the cheap end as you say, then I'd say it's good value. I'll be buying the warm gear version next time I am in the US for the summer months, if I'm not in US before then I'll be looking out for it here.

I use UA too. Great kit. Also bought mine in the States but you can get em in Arnotts too. Gear for cold weather is more expensive though.

Dunnes have a rash vest type thing at the moment. €25 for long sleeved version. I haven't used it yet but looks pretty good and they say it's breathable.
