I have an intermittent problem with text on Sky, on RTE i select TV then TXT and sometimes it works but mostly it doesnt, just get a black screen with 100 at the top left, no text. I have RF feed going into the sky box and text works fine if i put Sky in standby, any ideas?

    Hi,

This bugs me as well:(. The only cure I have is to switch off the sky box and switch on again. It always works, if a bit inconvenient!

Only idea is using scart for sky and rf for the aerial. But I'm guessing you have a reason for using the rf out...

I am using Scart to the TV from the sky box, the RF in is for the 2nd TV from the box, Teletext and when i need to switch to terrestrial TV. I tried switching the box to standby, but that doesnt work, do i need to power it down completely?

Ahl, now I see. You want to feed a second telly with sky and terrestrial using coax. I find that when you run coax into the skybox it always degrades the signal somewhat, but not neccessarily to the point where it loses teletext. If you split the terrestrial signal before the skybox you could probably get a cleaner signal and text working on the main telly.
