The History Channel: battle for the Pacific...

I should hate this game with every ounce of my being. In a way I suppose I do. It's quite possibly the worst looking, worst sounding, worst playing game.....ever. Although part of me wants to give major props to the History Channel for having the balls to release a FPS given the intense competition within the genre. This was very much an impulse buy (having been awarded what I consider the ludicrously high figure of €38 for the trade-in of Medal of Honour Airborne). I want to like this game, but it's so hard, nay impossible. Historical accuracy can only count for so much!

It's strange but it seems that the PS3 is really missing a decent WW2 FPS. Call of Duty 3 and Airborne were really lacking, and given that I missed out on a PS2, I guess I've really missed out on the best the MOH series had to offer. Having said this, is anyone else getting a little bit sick of the whole FPS thing? COD4, Unreal, Resistance, Rainbow 6 (and now Rainbow Six 2), even Oblivion to an extent. Roll on some innovative gaming!

    End rant.

P.S, I also picked up Army of Two. I'm guessing it'll be marginally better.

No I love fps games, I'm just sick of crap fps games.
I wish they had put out a demo of Army Of Two before I got it:(

You really don't like it? I'm actually warming to it, spending cash on guns is the best part.

I wanted to like it,the game had a lot of potential but no, after two hours I wanted rid of it. I thought the online mode was a bit crap also. I will be trading it in for the new rainbow 6 game.

Yeah I can't wait for Rainbow Six 2. The original was one of the best games on PS3.
