How about a Strobist meet up?

With all the talk of lighting and strobist type stuff up here recently it's gotten me thinking we should have some sort of a meet up, Seattle style.

i have an st-e2, a 430 a coupla 580s and a 550, lighting stands, superclamps, shoot thru and reflective umbrellas, softbox, reflector, off camera cord and home made snoots, ringflashes and grids.

If people wanna play round with them and their own gear, see what we can come up with and have a bit of craic too.

Not sure Chase Jarvis or David Hobby would make it but it'd be fun and if all of us who have, bring flashes, imagine the sort of group photo we could get at the end?

Anyone have an ideas as to where we could do this? Could we book a room again in DCU, the venue maybe?

an old derelict building or house would be a good venue, plenty around Dublin docks.

now that's just profoundly odd... I've been thinking the exact same thing for the last week. Was gonna post it next week.

Found a few nice locations in Cork I'd like to do some lighting experimentation. Guaranteed that if it happened in Cork too it'd be a much smaller and therefore more productive meetup than if it happened in Dublin :P
