    Hi
Anyone know where I might get a record player or start off looking for one - one of the older ones (I think possibly the style of those in the 60s or 70s?) that are stand alone and don't have to be connected to anything, and close to look a little like a little suitcase. (Can you tell I don't know much about them?!)
I need it in good working order but I don't really mind how it looks as long as it's not falling apart completely. And I'm on a student budget so it would have to be something I can at least save up for.

If you want an original then I cant help , those things in general werent very well made at the time and are unlikely to be still around in good working order , and getting a stylus for one would be akin to winning the lotto !

However , Peats have retro style jobs , something like this ,

And they seem to be very popular at the moment , expect to pay approx 100-150 euro. Shop around , Ive seen them all over Dublin !!
