Hmm trailer is certainly underwhelming, but I do admit that I have always found Hulk to be one of the dullest superheroes around.
Can never judge by a trailer, but given the fact that trailers like the Dark Knight kick so much ass, they really should put more effort into them. This gives me absolutely no incentive to get excited about Hulk take 2.

    well i like it :)

in fact at the begining i almost mistook norton for bana. the abomination looks a little weird though but to be honest these one looks to be all about the fight so im in.

by the way, anyone else having a problem with the board? its slowed WAAAAY down for me and theres loads of little x's where the tabs should be.

please tell me its not just my computer acting up !

the only good thing about the last one was the song (velvet revolver rawk) so lets see if they can improve with this one!

I didn't like the first film but have high(er) hopes for this one since Edward Norton is involved and we'll actually be getting a proper villain this time. Though with that said I prefer the more reptillian look Abomination has in the comics to this new design. He just looks like a bulky zombie now :(.

That trailer looks really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really ................... really .................... awful.

Ed Norton has finally lost the last shread of respect I had for him. He's had one good role since Fight Club almost 10 years ago.
At least DeNiro waited til he was about 50 before selling out.

I have to agree wit Pigman. I'll watch it just because it's The Hulk. Banas Hulk didn't do very well but I liked it, and what annoys me is that God awful stuff like the Fantastic Four get even worse sequels, while a decent (but a little too art house) film gets pissed on from all sides and completely written off. A sequel could have been great... I think we had a topic about this before so I'll just shup up! :o

what was art house about the first hulk, i would have preferred to see some style i saw none.

I was referring to the elongated and pretentiously boring 'nothing happening' scenes. I'm not a fan of art house. For all its lackluster it really picks up.

Effects look cartoony - hulk looks like the same CGI as last time. Lets hope these arent the final effect shots!

Can't get anything on that link above but found it on the offical Marvel site.

I'll reserve judgement for the moment

can't remember any of them in that film, i thought it was disappointingly run of the mill film, not a Grecian tragedy as it was said to be...

This looks like absolute drivel, I'm still shocked that Edward Norton took this role. The effects look very similar to Ang Lee's Hulk plus the villain guy looks awful...........kind of the like the hybrid alien in Alien Resurrection.

    Direct link to the trailer.

It has been a long time since I watched it. I might just have been very tired. :o I still remember enjoying it, I don't think this new film will top it.

Edward Norton couldn't be worse for Bruce Banner. He's one of those actors that can only play one role well. The Abomination looks alright. They've changed him some but he still looks on form at least. I'm not sure why everyone is always complaining about the effects. They look grand to me. (He's meant to be green... don't shoot.)

Why are you shocked? He co-wrote it.

I reckon it looks like it could be pretty good. It has to be a typical formulaic superhero movie for it to do so though, good and bad, fighting inner demons etc...Anything else and it'll be like the last one!

    Also,

I reckon Abomination looks pretty good. If you've seen various versions of him it's kinda true to the comic book versions over the years.

Prefer the colour of the Hulk in this one too.

Yeah but his head is kinda the same. Also there's a hairy kinda version too isn't there...anyway, I'm liking it so far.

Did i hear the Wilhelm Scream in the trailer earlier on or was it my imagination?

Liked the first one a lot, that trailer looks hammy though.

Because Norton is a decent actor and he is treading into Nicolas Cage territory here.

I thought the Abomination was green with pointy ears?

Hmm, gotta be honest this isn't looking so good. I think the Hulk is looking decent but the storyline (what little we're seeing of it) looks absolutely ****.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,295 ✭✭✭✭Duggy747

Well it was said Abomination is actually a greenish colour but he's also sorta transparent (thus he looks brown in the trailer cuz of fire reflecting off him)

This trailer seems to actually just make the movie is all about leading up to that final fight.

I dunno they look pretty different to me. I haven't read many Hulk comics but I've never heard of a hairy Abomination either. Perhaps that's the Ultimate version?
