    Hi,
heading to Cahirsiveen this weekend with the boyfriend, don't really know the area at all, was wondering could anyone recommend any good restaurants, pubs, walks, or any nice things to go see? Was hoping to go out to Skellig Michael but not sure if thats possible with the weather at the moment. Not sure how big a town Cahirsiveen is but if its there isnt a lot there, any other nice areas around it? Any suggestions would be appreciated, thanks

Hey,have been there a few times. Not an awful lot happening in the town itself but its a good base for the weekend.Few decent pubs The Anchor was one I went to good fun its like having a drink in someones kitchen.QC's is a good seafood restaurant, right in the toen. Also the Point is a nice little place, about 3 miles ouitside the town overlooking Renard pier(where the ferry goes to Valetia).Try and make it out to Derrynane/Castlecove area. Its further on the ring of kerry.Lovely scenery. You could take in some of the Kerry Way walk while around there.I have attached the link for the Skellig experience. Its located just at the valentia side of the bridge from Portmagee.Well worth a visit too.Plenty nice beaches/sights around to look at.Also Sneem is a lovely little village.
