Cordless Phone Batteries

I need to replace the rechargeable batteries in my cordless phone. The batteries in it are Phillips multi life AAA and are 550mAh 1.2 volt but I can't seem to find an exact replacement.

I do have some Ni-MH AAA 800mAh 1.2 volt batteries which I bought for the TV remote control. Could I use these or do I really need to find the exact same?

    Many thanks!

    :)

Just make sure you insert RECHARGEABLE batteries (AAA if they have more ma the battery will simply last longer than your current batterys)..

If the original batteries are Ni-MH as wwll the I don't think there should be a problem.
