Was at Club Sult in Vicar St. myself tonight (just back - still a bit drunk).

Despite my desperate lack of Irish I really enjoyed myself and Bishop did a fantastic job - just shows you what a year of total immersion can do to someone.

Brought a considerable amount of shame on me for not being able to understand half of what he said - although he did stick it to the Dept. Education and the Irish curriculum as part of his routine, so I can at least partially blame them!

Jesjes - you might be able to help me with this; what was the name of the song the woman with John Spillane (I think it was Pauline Scanlon - not sure) sang? I think it's a really old Irish song, someone told me it was 'Filleadh' (which comes up a lot in the song) but I don't think it is.

Bhí mé san barr ag caint agus do chaill mé amach ar Spillane gan fios dom!
    Tá mé tuirseach... an tuirseach.
Brón orm nach raibh mé níos mó cabhair.

(I was in the bar talkin and I completely missed Spillane without knowing it.
    I'm tired, so tired.
    Sorry I amn't more of a help)

Tá mé ag mothú i bhfád níos fearr tar éis súilóid agus bricfeasta... :) Grma.

Braithnóidh mé ar an shó anois.

Ní oibríonn an episode - tá an fuaim go brea ach tá gach rud eile, mar a deirfidh Mac an Easpaig é féin "****ailte".

Bhí sé iontach aréir ar aon ós. An croga.

It's very insparational to see someone like myself who didn't learn Irish at school, learn as well as he did. I still have a very long way to go.
