    Sorry if this is a stupid question but I just wanna be sure! I have a dell xps m1710,It came with dell network assistant and im just wondering is it necessary to have this in order to connect to a network? or can I unistall?and still be able to connect to a network?its not even the full version!you have to pay for that :0

    I'm pretty sure that was one of the first things I got rid of when I got my dell/ It's bloat, get rid of it.

    bloatware. thats a new one.

    No its not necessary and you can delete it safely. I have something Id say is similar from HP - all it does is generate a popup message when your network gets turned on/off. Quite pointless.
