I'm am planning a trip to Philadelphia in Oct.It works out cheaper if i just fly into Newark and get a bus to Philly from there. (takes roughly 1hr 15mins.) Anybody ever done this? any idea of what bus i should be getting? I'll be with my daughter, with no other adult, so i have nobody to help me look for this bus..

Don't US Airways fly direct from Dublin to Philadelphia?
Look at Newark airport's website for ground transportation links.

Yeah, US Airways fly direct to Philly from Dublin. Cheap and direct. Its no worse than an Aer Lingus flight to be honest. Only issue is that there is only 1 aisle on the plane for a 6/7hour flight, which can be a bit annoying for going to the bathroom etc when food carts are in the aisles etc..

I have also flown into Newark and taken the train from Newark Airport direct into downtown Philly. Check out http://www.amtrak.com for schedules. It was about 50 dollars i think and only takes about an hour. Train is definitely a better option than bus...

Hi there, my wife lives need Philadelphia. Been there a number of times.

You can possibly get the Amtrak to Philly. Check it out. Or get into NYC from Newark to Penn Station and get a bus from there cheaply. I will be moving there around this time also.

Yeah, its the best way to be honest. Direct into the centre of both cities. I took that Philly - NY - Philly train for a month quite regularly. Always on time and good price, plenty of space for suitcases etc at the end of the carriage and above your head.

The Acela Express trains are quality. Taken them to NY, Stamford and Baltimore. All business class and not that much more expensive than the regular service:
